Hi, I'm Brody Bates. I'm a Clinical Mental Health Counselor at Summit View Counseling. I have worked in the mental health field in various capacities and specialties for 17 years. In that time I have come to understand the needs of individuals, couples, and families as they face challenges which can seem overwhelming.
Summit View Counseling grew out of our recognition that there is a need for qualified and compassionate mental health service providers. I have come to appreciate the impact of evidenced based psychotherapies in helping the clients I work with achieve the results they are seeking. I also recognize the power of being present and flexible as needs in treatment evolve.
With a wide range of experience available, I am confident that if you are suffering with mental health issues, we can help you on your journey to a better, more fulfilling, and satisfying life.

Wendy Haddock, CMHC

Hello, I’m Wendy Haddock. I am a Clinical Mental Health Counselor with over 16 years of experience working with people with complex mental health and substances abuse issues. I am currently licensed in both Utah and Wisconsin and am seeing clients virtually.
I have a passion for helping people work through events and experiences in life, to find true self, and develop a path for whole person wellness. I am a trauma trained EMDR therapist. I use other cognitive behavioral skill building techniques including mindfulness, self-compassion, and self-esteem, to fill in personal resourcing gaps. I also recently became trained as a Structured Family Recovery (SFR) counselor. I enjoy working with couples and families! Please learn more about my family work here:

Whether you are struggling with the heavy weight of depression, the constant noise of anxiety, or the soul crushing legacy of abuse, I am here to provide a safe, supportive space where you can finally feel heard and understood.
My Approach I believe therapy works best when it is grounded in honesty and authenticity. My style is casual and personable, yet deeply professional. I approach every session with cultural humility and empathy, ensuring that your unique story is respected. Specialized Techniques Because every person is different, I utilize a wide range of evidence-based tools to help you heal. My practice integrates advanced trauma-informed and cognitive therapies, including: EMDR & ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy) for trauma processing. CBT & DBT for managing emotions and shifting thought patterns. IFS (Internal Family Systems) & ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy). Guided Imagery to promote relaxation and mental clarity.

Beyond the Office When I’m not in the office, I find my own balance through plant propagation, spending time working with horses, and the creativity of cooking. I bring that same appreciation for growth, patience, and nourishment into my therapeutic work with you.

Hi, I'm Mayalene Bates. My background is in Recreation Therapy and have worked in the mental health field with teens and adults in many outdoor and high adventure experiences. I have seen both recreation therapy and psychotherapy positively change clients daily lives, their outlook, and their hope for the future.
At Summit View Counseling I currently help manage the office needs. I enjoy helping others get into nature to find healing, grounding, and direction. I love many outdoors activities, especially riding my beautiful horses in the mountains around Utah.

Hi, my name is Naty and I'm an Office Assistant at Summit View Counseling. I've worked in billing for over 10 years for different medical practices. I have also done work interpreting and translating for several years.
I love the outdoors, drawing, painting and spending time with my family. I love helping people, and working at Summit View Counseling gives me the opportunity to do so!
